The objective of this project is to create an elderly care centre and a residence for intellectual handicapped people.

The project consists in two related parts, but at the same time diverse. One of those is the residence and the other is the elderly care centre. The care centre consists of an activity room and a rehabilitation area which are the heart of the project. Visually connect with each other through a space that works as hugh courtyard in the centre of the project. At one end of this sequence, the pool and in the other a window to the Sierra de Tramuntana. This volume is connected by a porch with the residence zone organized in groups of six. This disjointed and independent character between the two programs and the different groups has also remained inside. The houses are paired two by two and by the provision of passing spaces are transformed in public areas.

The independence of uses and requirements for this project will place the volumes of this building scattered in the gardens. The box-resolved housing and economic rational precast concrete panels are white and covered porches structure for connectors. The aim is to accentuate the best relationship with the outside world without losing the sense of protection and privacy.

The location for the project design was done to improve the efficiency of the building like solar gain, control, ventilation, etc. The facilities are registered throughout the building using prefabricated galleries that connect the different units. It has tried to rationalize the most of the costs, both construction and maintenance, seeking the most appropriate in each case to have a comfortable building.
